Final GAETI!

Today was a wonderful day. I really enjoyed the robotics session. I really want to incorporate it in my school. We have students that will really benefit from this. Some students need something to do to keep them out of trouble and robotics will be the perfect thing for them. I also enjoyed Ms.  Adkins and all the different tools we can use in our classroom. Earlier that day we all discussed how we are using the different tools we learned from in GAETI. I personally have used canvas and will incorporate adobe spark in March or April. I really wanted the students to do a website, but the school will not let us use weebly. I hope in the future they will open this website. But, I really enjoyed my day in GAETI. 😂

Day 18 2017 GAETI

Today in GAETI we talked about creating a business plan. The CD did not work and we just discuss some business strategies. Then we worked on our weebly and after lunch we listen to a speaker talk about wellness. It was the best presentation and I enjoyed it. I am going to take that information and use it for my health. Lastly we did a video with Dr. B with a person from Brazil it was good. We asked questions an the answers were good.

Day 8 2017 GAETI

I would tell my colleges that you have to know where you are going before you can start teaching. Basically develop a lesson plan to discuss what the student will know once they get finish. This will help the students understand what is expected once they finish. It will give them a goal to reach and then you will start telling them or they can develop lessons that would reach that goal. They have to make sure they include all the section of the UBd lesson from start to finish. Establish a goal, what the students will understand, essential questions, performance tasks, other evidence, and then have a learning plan in place. One idea from today that I plan to use is the UBd lesson plan. I actually use it in my curriculum, because when ICT started off that is the design that was used. Also, I like the immediate feedback assessment it can be an easier way to give an immediate feedback to the students.

Day 3 2017 GAETI

Today was really fun. We started off by playing with cookies. We had to extract as many chocolate chips from the chip ahoy's so that we can count the chips. The point of the lab was dealing with coal and how much you can make and lose if it is not done correctly. Our group did really good because we made a profit. The next part of the day was spent in the computer lab. We learned short cuts and various things on PowerPoint. I learned how to use the master slides better and I can teach my students. Also, Dr. B taught us how to make faster PPT. I like that idea for me, but I will not be teaching my students that short cut that can be confusing to them. After lunch we went over google maps and earth. I really enjoyed the instructor he did a good job of explaining how to label your map and maneuver in it. Then we did a tour in the Templeton music room upstairs we learned about different record players and so forth. Once we left the library we did an activity outside and it was interest...
